You'll partner with product, design, and clinical teams to translate ambitious ideas into production-ready systems that are scalable, maintainable, and user-focused.
Key responsibilities include growing the team from 5 to 10+ engineers, building high-functioning pods around product domains, and delivering features that directly impact clinician efficiency and patient outcomes. You'll shape organizational design, culture, and process at a critical growth moment, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering.
You will build high-performing engineering groups through hiring, onboarding, and developing strong individual contributors. Cross-functional collaboration with PM, Design, and Clinical Subject Matter Experts is essential to ensure strong planning, discovery, and delivery practices throughout the product lifecycle.
You bring 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineers. You're an experienced hiring manager who has personally hired 7+ engineers and built teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You're technically credible with experience building and scaling distributed systems, shipping backend and full-stack features in SaaS environments, and going deep on technical decisions when needed.
You're product-oriented, knowing how to collaborate with PM and Design, think in terms of user outcomes, and ensure your team builds the right thing. You're execution-focused, taking pride in delivering ambitious goals, aligning teams, debugging process issues, and accelerating throughput. You build inclusive teams with strong feedback and trust cultures, leading with empathy and setting a high bar for engineering maturity and ownership. You're mission-aligned and excited by the vision to improve healthcare through AI.
