BlaBlaCar is the world's leading community-based travel platform, enabling 27 million members annually to carpool, travel by bus, or train across 21 countries. The Post-Booking Squad is responsible for delivering a seamless experience after purchase—from e-ticket access and ride management to cancellations and exchanges.
As Engineering Manager of the Post-Booking Squad, you will lead a diverse team of frontend and backend engineers to build a scalable, reliable platform that unifies post-booking services across carpool, bus, and train offerings. You'll partner closely with a dedicated Product Manager, Product Designer, and Data team to define vision, execute roadmap, and drive technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering leadership and technical advisory to the Product Manager and business stakeholders, shaping squad objectives and long-term technical roadmap
- Manage planning and delivery of complex, cross-team projects while ensuring performance, stability, and scalability
- Collaborate with Product Managers across OTA, Bus, Train, and Carpool teams to prioritize deliverables and report progress
- Recruit, mentor, and develop your engineering team through career development and regular feedback
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, leveraging modern tools (including AI-driven acceleration) to maintain high productivity and quality
Required Qualifications:
- Proven management experience with demonstrated people management skills
- Technical background building reliable, scalable, secure consumer-facing products
- Knowledge across backend (Java, Spring) and frontend (Kotlin, Swift, React, TypeScript) technology stacks
- Strong English communication and leadership skills; ability to bridge technical constraints with business and compliance requirements
- Track record of execution and prioritization in high-stakes environments
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
