Celonis is the global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, a fast-growing enterprise SaaS company investing heavily in AI capabilities to turn data insights into business action.
You will manage a team of up to 6 engineers in the Orchestration & Automation space, responsible for building and operating resilient, reliable, and scalable systems. Your role combines people leadership with hands-on technical contribution. You'll guide engineers (including staff and senior staff level) in their professional growth while managing performance, shape the team's technical roadmap, and contribute directly to feature development across the full stack—backend, frontend, and platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Team management and mentorship of up to 6 individual contributors
- Collaboration with product, UX, platform, SRE, and QE teams to deliver end-to-end solutions with high availability and reliability
- Shaping the team's roadmap and internal discovery/delivery processes alongside product management
- Guiding technical direction to ensure systems meet modern standards and best practices
- Active hands-on contribution to development (frontend, backend, or platform work)
- Cross-functional leadership with engineering teams and stakeholders
You'll work with modern tech including Java, Go, TypeScript, DevOps tooling, CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure as code. The role is part of scaling efforts around agentic composable enterprise capabilities.
Required qualifications: minimum 3 years in an Engineering Manager or technical leadership role; advanced technical expertise at staff engineer level; proven experience with Java, Angular, microfrontend architecture, Postgres, and microservices; excellent English communication; agile methodology familiarity; ability to provide strategic leadership and resolve technical conflicts; willingness to provide hands-on team support.
