Salary: USD 233,000 - 274,000 / annual

The Truework Team seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Mortgage Verifications Team, responsible for building and launching new products, customer-facing experiences, and enhancing the Truework platform. This role combines technical leadership with people management, working closely with product managers and key stakeholders to create software and experiences that delight customers. Key responsibilities include: driving technical vision that motivates the team; partnering with product management on new features and enhancements; reducing technical debt and scaling architecture sustainably; building customer relationships and driving results; nurturing and growing team members based on career aspirations; hiring top talent and raising team standards; representing the team in planning and product meetings; and optimizing engineering processes to drive velocity and quality. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of engineering management experience and 8+ years as an engineer. Required skills include critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Experience managing quality incidents as both technical and communication lead is essential. The role requires deep understanding of service architecture, system design, lean software development, and experience with highly regulated products at scale. Strong background in TDD, pair programming, and agile methodologies is expected. Candidates should demonstrate ability to make high-level prioritization decisions quickly, develop inclusive teams, and bring humility and openness to feedback. Experience with machine learning and AI is a plus. The projects are high-impact and scale, advancing architecture and systems for the next generation of product offerings. Decisions made will impact potentially millions of consumers annually and help businesses make fast, informed, and safe decisions.
