Applied Intuition is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the production deployment of advanced AI research into safety-critical autonomous systems. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll balance team building and scaling with direct involvement in architecture reviews, model debugging, and critical-path engineering work.
You will drive the production roadmap for ML-powered behavior planning systems, replacing traditional heuristics with learned models that power autonomous vehicles, trucks, construction equipment, mining machines, and humanoid robots. Your responsibilities include setting technical direction and hiring strategy to build a world-class team, serving as the technical bridge between the Research Group and product engineering to translate experimental models into safety-certified, real-time production systems, and owning the full model lifecycle from data curation and training through evaluation, deployment, and production monitoring.
The role requires evolving the architecture toward an L4 end-to-end autonomous stack and working cross-functionally with Perception, Simulation, and Vehicle Operations teams to ensure robust integration. You'll identify where research advances can absorb work from product engineering teams and productionize those capabilities.
