You will lead a full-stack engineering team in Warsaw responsible for building and maintaining identity and access systems. Your scope includes authentication infrastructure, API agent scaling, and self-service product configuration tools. The team builds the "front door" experiences (login, MFA) and administrative interfaces that customers use to configure experiences for their internal teams and end-clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and recruit a team of full-stack engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration
- Partner with Product and Design to define roadmaps, plan sprints, and deliver user and customer configuration tools on Addepar's identity platform
- Oversee technical strategy as the team migrates authentication experiences to new platforms, ensuring global availability and scalability
- Act as a key stakeholder in technical design and architecture reviews, aligning identity investments with product improvements
- Support operational health through agile practices, technical debt management, and high standards for code quality, testing, and production stability
You bring extensive software engineering experience with 2+ years directly managing or leading engineering teams. You have a strong full-stack background (Java/OOP backends, modern web frameworks like React/Svelte/Ember) and deep knowledge of identity fundamentals: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWTs, SAML, and secure session management. You excel at recruiting and retaining talent, managing performance, and supporting career growth. You communicate clearly across engineering and non-engineering teams, solve complex problems objectively, and thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities shift.
