The Engineering Manager, Growth Activation role is a people-management position responsible for leading an engineering team focused on growth initiatives. This manager will oversee the technical strategy and execution of features and systems that drive user acquisition, activation, and retention. The role bridges product, data, and engineering to optimize conversion funnels, onboarding experiences, and engagement metrics.
Key responsibilities include: managing and mentoring a team of engineers; collaborating with product and data teams to define growth metrics and technical roadmaps; architecting scalable systems for A/B testing, analytics, and personalization; ensuring code quality and engineering best practices; and driving cross-functional alignment on growth priorities.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a management or technical leadership role. Strong background in full-stack development, growth engineering, or backend systems is preferred. Experience with healthcare, fintech, or consumer applications is a plus. The role requires excellent communication skills, ability to mentor engineers, and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
