Salary: USD 200,000 - 245,000 / annual

Ripple is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Product Ledger team, which builds the double-entry ledger service powering accounting and financial state across Ripple's products. This is a hands-on management role requiring both strategic vision and technical depth. Key Responsibilities: - Build and lead engineering teams of 8+ engineers, motivating them to innovate and deliver outstanding results - Partner closely with Product Management, Accounting, Compliance, Operations, Security, and Business Development to design and operate a correctness-critical, audit-ready ledger system - Own the entire software development process and technical roadmap for the team - Design event-driven systems that translate business events into balanced, auditable postings - Ensure the platform scales across new business lines while maintaining audit readiness and Oracle integration - Create shared vision and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships Required Experience: - 5+ years leading impactful engineering teams with direct experience managing teams of 8 or more - Hands-on expertise in Java (Spring) with ability to review and contribute to backend service code - Direct experience building or operating double-entry ledger or core accounting/financial systems (journals, debits/credits, chart of accounts, balance derivation, reversals) - Proven track record with correctness-critical, high-throughput transactional systems including idempotency design, concurrency control, and balance-integrity guarantees - Experience with revenue recognition, intercompany accounting, GL mapping, reconciliation, and ERP integration (e.g., Oracle) - Strong grasp of databases at scale and familiarity with NoSQL data modeling (e.g., DynamoDB) - Experience designing event-driven systems with simulation/dry-run tooling for onboarding new event types - Comfort operating in regulated, audit-sensitive environments with immutable/append-only records and traceability requirements - Proven track record defining and owning technical roadmaps across multiple product verticals - Bias toward action, sound judgment under ambiguity, and success recruiting and growing strong engineers Bonus: Familiarity with crypto custody and multi-network asset movement (wallets, blockchain networks, exchanges).
