Cohere is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Deployment Engineering team focused on agentic solutions in the Middle East region. This is a hands-on management role combining technical leadership with team oversight in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
You will manage a team of Forward Deployed Engineers building agentic solutions using Cohere's North platform in on-premises environments. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring engineers, owning customer success from technical implementation through delivery, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to shape enterprise AI delivery, and building relationships with technical stakeholders at customer organizations. You'll foster a culture of continuous improvement and define processes that scale agent development and deployment across multiple client environments.
The role focuses on securely integrating AI into critical sectors including finance, healthcare, and telecommunications. You'll balance technical excellence with team leadership, solving complex problems and moving initiatives forward in a hands-on capacity.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated leadership; experience managing engineers in fast-paced, high-growth settings; hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise software at scale with focus on agentic applications; high agency and a doer mentality; excellent English communication skills translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Nice-to-have skills include Arabic fluency, AI/ML infrastructure experience, and background in enterprise security and compliance.
