True Anomaly is seeking an Engineering Manager, Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical engineering design team responsible for spacecraft avionics computing hardware development. Reporting to the VP of New Product Engineering, this role combines deep technical leadership with people management, program planning, and product delivery.
You will own the full design lifecycle for a growing portfolio of custom avionics hardware, including high-performance processing systems, I/O interfaces, and mixed-signal electronics. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of electrical engineers across PCB and digital systems development; overseeing end-to-end hardware development from requirements definition through schematic capture, board layout, component selection, bring-up, integration, and qualification testing; setting and enforcing design standards, design review processes, and configuration management practices; and conducting technical trade studies to evaluate architectures, components, and development approaches with focus on performance, size/weight/power/cost optimization, reliability, and cost.
You will drive a forward-looking product vision for scalable avionics computing solutions aligned with True Anomaly's spacecraft programs, champion process improvements across the design-to-delivery workflow, and manage schedules, budgets, staffing, and technical risk across multiple concurrent hardware development programs. The role requires collaboration with embedded software, FPGA, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and test teams to ensure seamless integration of digital hardware into spacecraft systems.
