Notion is hiring an Engineering Manager for its Content Onboarding team in Hyderabad. This team builds systems that enable customers to migrate content into Notion, accelerate onboarding, and scale reliably. The role is critical to Notion's core value proposition: replacing multiple tools by making content migration seamless and trustworthy.
You will shape the technical and product vision for Notion's import and export systems, enabling customers to pull content from diverse sources and transform it into a reliable system of record. By day 90, you'll clarify the near-term roadmap, de-risk key technical decisions for importers, exports, and internal admin tooling, and connect AI-era and agentic workflow patterns to onboarding experiences. By year-end, you'll establish engineering excellence as a team norm with reliable systems, clear operational standards, and shared ownership of critical workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical strategy and maintaining a high engineering bar across the team
- Crafting and maintaining multi-quarter team strategy in coordination with adjacent product and engineering teams
- Developing senior engineers, strengthening operating rhythms, and building high-performing teams with durable standards
- Leading a local Hyderabad team while staying coordinated with cross-functional partners across time zones
- Using AI as a real collaborator to improve product judgment, prototyping, and engineering quality
You'll work from the Hyderabad office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (Anchor Days) to collaborate in person with the team. The role requires strong technical leadership, the ability to represent team work clearly, and experience building and scaling engineering organizations. You should be intellectually curious, drawn to discovery, and excited to use AI as a genuine tool for better thinking and work.
