Deepgram is the leading platform for Voice AI, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and voice agents at scale. You will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team building Deepgram's self-serve products, including Console and Product Playground. This role directly impacts customer first impressions and buying decisions through product-led growth strategy. Key responsibilities include: - Leading a team of frontend and backend engineers on web applications, agentic tooling integrations (MCP servers, SDK experiences), and account management services (authorization, billing, analytics) - Partnering with Product, Sales, and Marketing on product strategy and roadmap refinement, with focus on AI-native developer experience - Overseeing technical design, task decomposition, and daily standups to ensure on-schedule execution - Leading feature creation and product releases through close involvement in product development, design, and review—including AI agent playgrounds and LLM-powered developer tooling - Driving the self-serve growth engine: activation funnels, in-product upgrade flows, PLG experimentation, and self-serve deployments - Collaborating with other team leads on cross-functional projects, identifying critical paths, and resolving dependencies - Conducting regular 1-on-1s with direct reports, coaching them through challenges, and supporting career development Ideal candidates have early-stage startup experience, strong communication and leadership skills, practical software architecture expertise, and deep familiarity with LLMs, agents, and model APIs as first-class product primitives. Technical background in world-class user-facing applications and proven management experience are essential. Nice-to-haves include experience building AI-powered developer tooling, shipping agentic/voice AI integrations, driving PLG at developer-tools companies, and managing through fundraising cycles. Deepgram operates with an AI-first mindset where all team members actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools.
