Cloudflare is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Browser Run product and team within the Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) division. Browser Run is a platform that executes full browser sessions on Cloudflare's global network, enabling developers and AI agents to interact with the web at scale. The product provides multiple interfaces: a Chrome DevTools Protocol endpoint compatible with Puppeteer and Playwright, Workers bindings, and a REST API for common tasks like screenshots, PDFs, Markdown extraction, scraping, and crawling. Additional capabilities include session recording and replay, live debugging, and human intervention pathways.
As Engineering Manager, you will own Browser Run end-to-end: the engineering team, product roadmap, reliability, and customer narrative. The role is hands-on and reports to the Senior Engineering Manager for AI Agents Tooling & Platform. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Developer Relations, and platform teams across Cloudflare.
Browser Run has rapidly evolved from an internal rendering tool to a public, billed product with steep growth. The team maintains a broader portfolio including an agent-first browser built on Workers, a managed CI platform for agent development, visual regression testing, a pre-rendering service, URL Scanner, and CDNJS. However, Browser Run is the primary focus of this role, with potential for portfolio expansion as the team scales.
Key challenges include managing capacity, cold-start latency, concurrency limits, and abuse protection as product problems rather than operational concerns. The team ships frequently—the CDP endpoint, MCP client support, session replay, and REST API all launched within a year. You will make this pace sustainable while maintaining high standards for reliability and collaboration.
