As Engineering Manager for the Subscriptions Platform, you will lead a team of engineers building and scaling Tide's subscription infrastructure across multiple markets. You'll own the technical direction and execution of systems powering subscription creation, pricing, and lifecycle management. Your responsibilities include managing and developing engineers, setting technical standards, fostering a culture of ownership, and partnering with Product, Billing, Payments, Marketing, Data, and Finance teams to deliver a robust subscriptions platform.
You'll be a hands-on technical leader deeply involved in day-to-day team work, ensuring high-quality delivery across the full subscription lifecycle. The role requires balancing strategic platform design with direct involvement in code and architecture decisions.
Required qualifications: 10+ years building server-side applications with strong Java expertise; experience with Spring/Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native environments (AWS preferred). You need proven experience directly managing people, working in agile environments, and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate demonstrates full ownership of code from development to production, integrates third-party providers, works with relational databases, and leverages AI/LLM tools to improve productivity and delivery velocity.
