Razorpay is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and scale engineering teams in Bengaluru. This role combines people management, technical strategy, and delivery oversight across multiple concurrent projects.
You will manage a diverse team of engineers and potentially first-line managers, responsible for hiring top talent, defining technical strategy and roadmaps, and executing initiatives in an agile manner. Key responsibilities include:
• Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams, attracting top-tier talent to the organization
• Own the group's technical strategy, roadmap, and success metrics in collaboration with cross-functional partners
• Drive a culture of engineering excellence and craftsmanship, motivating teams to solve complex problems with elegant solutions
• Partner with tech leads and architects on technical problem-solving, leveraging your own technical depth
• Implement and champion effective engineering processes and best practices
• Mentor direct reports on professional development, performance management, and career growth
• Enable engineers to make independent decisions with confidence and recognition
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Business, and Operations teams to gather requirements and drive bottom-up innovation
• Ensure team alignment with company goals and the broader strategic context of their work
