You will join as an Engineering Manager reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, leading a high-performing team building core infrastructure. This is a builder-leader role combining people leadership with hands-on technical execution in a fast-moving, complex environment. You will own team growth, technical direction, roadmap planning, and delivery of critical systems used across thousands of jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities include: leading and scaling an engineering team while raising standards for ownership and quality; defining technical direction across architecture, scalability, and reliability; owning roadmap execution from definition through customer impact; partnering with product and design to translate real-world problems into scalable systems; improving system reliability and observability; and hiring and developing future engineering leaders.
Required qualifications: 5+ years software engineering experience with 1+ year in engineering leadership; proven track record building and scaling teams in startup or high-growth environments; strong system design and architecture fundamentals (scalable web or distributed systems); ability to lead through ambiguity; strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders; high standards for engineering quality and reliability; deep technical fluency with code review and architecture engagement. Bonus experience includes workflow-heavy enterprise SaaS, infrastructure products, or complex regulated environments (construction, logistics, government systems).
