SyBridge Technologies, a leading on-demand digital manufacturer and North America's largest injection molding tooling platform, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop the Engineering Department. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee daily operations of the engineering team, manage workload distribution, and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines.
Key responsibilities include supervising and coaching direct reports, managing team performance and HR functions (scheduling, time-off, disciplinary actions, development), and ensuring adherence to SyBridge best practices and customer standards. You will address quality issues, provide technical guidance on mold design and tool specifications, and participate in developing engineering policies and procedures. The role requires managing tool design reviews, approving purchase requisitions, communicating department status to senior leadership, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages continuous improvement and open communication.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet established timelines and operational performance objectives, while maintaining accountability for all tools within your team's scope. The position demands strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to perform under pressure while prioritizing competing deadlines.
Required qualifications include an engineering degree or diploma (or equivalent experience as a mold maker, designer, or surfacer), supervisory or management experience, and strong leadership and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of automotive experience, knowledge of Catia V5, and background in tool design, mold making, or machining. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and demonstrate excellent organizational and planning abilities.
