Eisen is the system of record for unclaimed property compliance at major financial institutions and crypto exchanges. The role is to lead and scale the engineering organization from 10 to 30 engineers while maintaining the highest standards of correctness and reliability in a regulated compliance domain.
As Engineering Manager, you will own the full engineering function: hiring and team development, setting technical direction, driving execution and delivery, and building the processes and culture needed to support rapid growth. You'll work closely with an experienced technical team of senior principal engineers, earning their trust and setting direction alongside them. Your responsibilities include scaling the team with proper hiring, onboarding, and management infrastructure; driving execution with clear standards and cadence; owning quality and reliability as systems and team grow; defining architecture and standards for core systems (data processing, transaction processing, security, partner integrations); coaching and developing engineers; and partnering across Product, Compliance, Security, Sales, and Operations.
The domain requires provable correctness: every state transition is recorded, every transformation is reconstructable, and every filing is defensible under regulatory examination. This is not a domain where eventual consistency or quiet rollbacks are acceptable—a wrong dormancy date becomes a regulatory finding for the client.
You should have a track record of doubling an engineering team and building the infrastructure to support it, ideally at a B2B SaaS fintech company. You are leader-first but capable of deep-diving on engineering topics when needed. You have strong experience architecting and running scalable, secure, reliable backend systems, and you maintain a high bar for quality and reliability. You are a clear communicator, proactive, thoughtful, and care as much about your team as the output you deliver. Experience in financial services, fintech, regulated industries, high-volume data processing, transaction processing, partner integrations, and early-stage startup scaling is valued.
