In this Engineering Manager role, you will lead a pod of engineers with responsibility for both technical direction and team development. You'll mentor engineers, set clear technical vision, and build a high-ownership, growth-oriented culture through effective feedback and collaboration. You'll contribute hands-on to key architectural discussions and technical problem-solving alongside senior engineers.
Cross-functional collaboration is central to the role. You'll work closely with Product to challenge requirements and ensure alignment on priorities, partner with Support and Operations to understand customer issues and operational realities, and communicate progress, risks, and decisions transparently to stakeholders and leadership.
On execution and delivery, you'll drive end-to-end planning, prioritization, and tracking of engineering work. You'll maintain strong development velocity by removing blockers and enabling smooth workflows, uphold high engineering standards for reliable and well-tested systems, and own pod-level metrics such as latency, success rates, and efficiency. You'll use data-driven insights to continuously refine execution and delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 6–9 years of software engineering experience
- Proven track record of transitioning from individual contributor to people manager
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments
- Combines hands-on technical expertise with effective team leadership and mentorship
- Excels at making decisions that serve business goals while nurturing people development
- Strong engineering fundamentals valued over specific tech stacks (language-agnostic)
