Melio is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of full-stack engineers building B2B payment solutions. You will own a user-facing product area, making strategic decisions and supporting team growth while maintaining hands-on technical involvement.
In this role, you will lead a team of 4+ engineers, set goals and manage timelines to execute the product roadmap, and work closely with Product and Design on new features. You'll take an active role in hiring and be responsible for the overall technical direction of your team's domain, from UX/design through deployment.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software engineering experience (frontend and backend), with 3+ years managing a team of engineers. You should have 2+ years hands-on experience with React and Node.js, deep understanding of production systems and web architecture, and familiarity with continuous delivery and automated testing. Experience with AWS infrastructure is a plus.
Melio's tech stack is built on AWS Serverless (SAM CLI, CloudFormation), with services written primarily in Node.js, TypeScript, and Python. The company uses both relational and document databases for flexibility and scale.
