As Engineering Manager for the AI Platform team, you will lead a group of talented engineers building internal AI tooling and capabilities that enable the entire organization to solve business problems productively and safely. You'll own your team's roadmap, design and implement new platforms, adjust ML pipelines, and introduce tools as needed. This is a hands-on role where you'll balance people management with technical contribution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a team of engineers, supporting their career growth
- Actively participating in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews
- Taking a data-driven approach to measure your team's impact and user satisfaction
- Understanding internal stakeholder needs and identifying solutions
- Contributing to the broader engineering vision and strategy
- Championing best practices and emerging trends in AI/ML and platform engineering
- Participating in engineering-wide initiatives around recruitment and processes
You'll work closely with senior leadership and internal users to define and execute your platform roadmap. The role requires comfort with high responsibility and autonomy, and the ability to adapt your management style as the team evolves.
Required: 2+ years engineering management experience in platform teams with AI tooling; cloud-native expertise (Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, Go/Python); strong technical background and interpersonal skills; experience building platforms used by other engineers.
Desirable: Led AI-first teams driving organizational change; internal platform team experience; team recruitment and shaping; process definition; hyper-growth environment exposure.
