Salary: USD 160,000 - 200,000 / annual

Gopuff is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Catalog and Partner Integrations teams. The Catalog team builds authoritative platforms and tools for creating, enriching, pricing, zoning, and serving product data across Gopuff. Partner Integrations connects that data—along with inventory, promotions, orders, and fulfillment workflows—to marketplaces, strategic partners, and retail platforms such as Shopify. Together, these teams ensure products are accurately represented, sellable, and fulfillable across Gopuff's first-party and partner channels. You will lead and mentor multiple engineering teams while maintaining hands-on technical involvement. You'll collaborate with engineering and product leadership to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Your responsibilities include scoping and decomposing projects, delegating tasks, managing timelines and resource allocation, and ensuring deliverables are met on schedule. You'll provide clear technical direction, drive continuous improvement through professional development and hiring practices, and oversee operational support for large distributed software applications. You'll also design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions, implement system and data monitors, and support standard development practices including testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with strong software engineering expertise and interest in both technical and product management aspects of engineering. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of software engineering experience - 3+ years of engineering management experience - Experience collaborating with functional stakeholders and establishing roadmaps aligned with business priorities - Experience with organizational design, team development, hiring, and performance management - Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes and using related tools (Helm, ArgoCD, Istio) - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform - Public cloud experience in production (Azure preferred) - Proficiency with SQL, Postgres, Java, and TypeScript - Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and their application in building data-intensive applications handling high-velocity or high-volume data - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Experience with SQL data analysis (Snowflake/BigQuery) and familiarity with data pipelines - Experience with message-based, asynchronous processing - Experience with JavaScript and SPA technology in production (e.g., React) - Shopify platform experience is a plus
