As Engineering Lead for the Acquisition team, you will own technical delivery and direction for the product area responsible for driving fleet acquisition and growth. Working closely with the Product Manager, you'll co-lead the team toward its goals while maintaining high technical standards and developer experience. This is a hands-on technical leadership role—you'll ship production TypeScript code, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and provide technical coaching without formal line management responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include: owning delivery and operational reliability for the Acquisition team; writing and reviewing high-quality, well-tested TypeScript; translating business goals into clear technical scope and delivery plans; mentoring engineers through code, design discussions, and pairing; improving developer experience, CI/CD, and release practices; making pragmatic trade-offs across AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch); and shaping how the team adopts AI development tools and coding agents to ship faster without compromising quality.
You'll work with RESTful APIs, serverless infrastructure, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CDK. Success is measured not by individual output but by the output, quality, and growth of the entire team.
