In this role, you will build edge applications that process vision data and manage communication layers for compute-constrained edge devices. You'll deploy machine learning models to production, optimizing the platform runtime for maximum performance. The work involves primarily C++ development with GPU-accelerated components, building observability and telemetry systems, and working with a fleet of deployed edge computers.
You'll join a fast-moving team that values clarity, craftsmanship, and impact. The company is transforming a $50B+ legacy security industry by bringing multimodal LLMs and computer vision to real-world applications—from firearm detection to intelligent access control.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
- 3–8 years of experience with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
- Strong C++ programming skills and strong understanding of Linux
- Knowledge of at least one additional development language (Java, Python, Shell scripts)
- Edge/IoT computing experience (preferred)
- Infrastructure management experience with Salt (preferred)
- Monitoring experience with Grafana (preferred)
- Video processing & streaming experience with Gstreamer (preferred)
- Experience interfacing with ML models, particularly PyTorch (preferred)
- Resilient in challenging, fast-paced environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work onsite
