Adapt is building a platform for enterprise AI agents—a central company agent that connects AI models to systems, data, people, and workflows. The platform provides persistent memory, secure compute, deep integrations, reusable skills, and enterprise controls to help agents understand real context, complete real work, and improve over time. You'll own the computer underneath Adapt's infrastructure. This is infrastructure in service of the product, not infrastructure for its own sake. While your center of gravity is the systems layer, you won't be siloed in a platform team. You'll sit in customer conversations, ship user-facing features, and follow your work all the way to end users. Key systems you'll work with: - Sandbox: Firecracker-based microVM orchestration with sub-second boots for agents - Storage: Distributed filesystem backed by object storage, enabling concurrent read/write from multiple sandboxes - Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform, GKE, Kustomize, GitHub Actions, Postgres, Redis, plus tracing and metrics Today the stack serves tens of thousands of sandbox sessions weekly, enabling LLMs to complete complex tasks. You'll sharpen the architecture that got them here and make architectural decisions for what comes next. You likely have 4-7+ years of professional engineering experience with meaningful infrastructure work. Ideally you've worked at an early-stage startup (seed through Series B) where infrastructure was core to the product—a build platform, CI/CD system, or similar. You understand distributed systems, can debug production issues under pressure, and care deeply about reliability and performance. You're comfortable with systems programming and have shipped infrastructure that powers real user workloads.
