Salary: USD 193,970 - 228,200 / annual
Coinbase is seeking an Engineering Manager for HR Applications to lead and scale the HR Engineering team. This role combines technical leadership with people management, overseeing a geographically distributed team (US and India) supporting Workday and related HR systems.
Key responsibilities include hiring, onboarding, and mentoring engineers and analysts; providing functional and technical leadership to team members; supervising day-to-day Workday instance operations; designing user-friendly processes and documentation; analyzing business requirements with internal and external stakeholders; identifying automation opportunities across HR processes; managing system upgrades and patches; staying current with HR technology trends; leading continuous improvement projects; and managing vendor relationships and RFPs for HRIS and boundary systems.
Required qualifications: 8+ years of experience with 3+ years leading an applications team in the HR functional area; working knowledge of Workday and integrations; experience integrating with ATS, LMS, and performance management systems; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical partners; experience applying Lean, Agile, ITIL, or process improvement methodologies; experience partnering with Security teams on high-security solutions; proficiency in Jira, Slack, and G Suite; and demonstrated ability to coordinate technical teams and deliver stakeholder value.
