Checkout.com is seeking an Engineer I to join the People Technology team, focusing on integrations that connect Workday with the broader technology ecosystem. This role is designed for someone ready to operate independently with guidance, moving beyond basic break-fix work to own the day-to-day reliability, support, and continuous improvement of People Tech integrations.
You will partner closely with the People Team, Finance Technology, and Global Corporate Technology teams to ensure critical people data flows accurately across Workday, the ERP system, and other downstream platforms. Your responsibilities include configuring and maintaining Workday modules, supporting data integrity between systems, configuring business processes, security roles, workflows, notifications, dashboards, and reports.
Key responsibilities involve monitoring integration health, investigating failures, and proactively resolving recurring issues before they impact stakeholders. You'll troubleshoot data, process, and system issues affecting People Tech integrations and provide ongoing support to internal teams. You'll participate in system testing, upgrades, releases, and feature deployments with a focus on integration readiness and regression coverage.
You'll author clear technical documentation, integration runbooks, support guides, and knowledge base entries to support the team and downstream users. You'll also support and enhance integrations with third-party platforms across the People ecosystem, ensuring data quality, process efficiency, and operational resilience.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in integration or technical fields with a desire to specialize in Workday integrations. You should have strong problem-solving skills, a growth mindset, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to research independently. Experience with system maintenance, testing, and deployments is important, as is a collaborative approach to working across People, Finance, and Technology teams.
