Join Lightspeed's Financial Services division as an Analytics Engineer within the FS Data team. You will own all analytics and reporting needs across Financial Services, collaborating with application engineering, product, operations, risk, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and transform raw data into business logic to support reporting and data modeling
- Analyze raw data and recommend optimal data sources for business needs
- Ensure correct data reaches stakeholders at the right time
- Collaborate with central Data team to build data pipelines following best practices
- Serve as a data quality and usability ambassador within Financial Services
- Guarantee data availability, quality, and discoverability with proper documentation
- Write and maintain performant, well-structured SQL and Python scripts using version control and CI/CD practices
- Automate data model testing and add necessary validations for quality assurance
- Contribute to defining and improving internal standards for data models and infrastructure
- Communicate complex technical information to team members
- Maintain or develop simple reports and dashboards in Looker
Required Experience:
- SQL and Python (or equivalent language)
- MPP data warehouse experience (BigQuery)
- dbt or Dataform
- Data profiling, mapping, and quality validation
- Data orchestration tools
- Data warehousing and data modeling standards
- Cloud environments (GCP) and containerization solutions
- Version control, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Security mindset and compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR)
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Problem-solving abilities and autonomous/collaborative work style
- Proactive mindset and strong initiative
- English language proficiency required for this global role
Preferred:
- Payments or financial services domain experience
- SaaS environment experience
- AWS and GCP cloud services knowledge
