Shift Technology is an AI-driven insurance technology company that delivers AI agents transforming critical insurance workflows. The Data Science team is the largest in the organization with 180+ data scientists globally, working across fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and claim automation products.
In this role, you will participate in the full lifecycle development of insurance AI solutions, working with structured data, free text, documents, and images. Key responsibilities include:
• Implementing data engineering pipelines from client data extracts to production data stores (SQL, ElasticSearch)
• Developing, testing, tuning, and deploying machine learning models for fraud detection and automation in complex environments
• Automating business tasks by implementing solutions in the production framework using C#
• Conducting client meetings and stakeholder engagement to gather feedback, present business cases, and define product roadmaps
You will work alongside technical experts in a role that directly impacts enterprise-level client deployments. The team values both technical depth and business acumen, with exposure to insurance domain expertise developed on the job.
Required qualifications:
• 2+ years of professional experience writing production-quality code in C# and SQL
• Strong foundation in machine learning and/or statistics (degree preferred)
• Comfort with client-facing communication and regular stakeholder interaction
• Interest in learning insurance business domain and product strategy
• Ability to explain ML concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
