Aleph is an AI-native Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) platform solving a critical pain point for finance teams: data scattered across multiple systems, endless spreadsheets, and manual reconciliation work. Founded by technical leaders from Stanford, MIT, Google, Microsoft, and Bain & Company, and backed by top-tier VCs (Khosla Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Y Combinator), Aleph works with high-growth companies like Webflow, Notion, Zapier, and Y Combinator itself. As a Senior Analytics Engineer on the Data team, you will own the design and evolution of client-facing data transformations at scale. Your core responsibilities include building reliable, performant transformation pipelines that convert messy raw data from diverse sources (ERPs, HRIS, CRMs, billing systems) into production-ready FP&A analytical tables. You'll define golden-standard transformations across all customers while enabling customization where needed. Key responsibilities: - Own the end-to-end transformation pipeline strategy, from source integration through production models, leveraging AI to accelerate delivery and reduce support overhead - Design and evolve data integrity tests in collaboration with Engineering and Customer Success to catch issues before they reach customers - Partner with Customer Success to understand evolving data and reporting needs, troubleshoot issues, and build robust transformations across many sources - Refactor and optimize critical models and pipelines, establishing patterns and conventions that scale across the team - Raise team standards through excellent code, thoughtful code reviews, clear communication, and process improvements You bring a track record of owning transformation pipelines end-to-end, particularly with financial or operational data. You have strong SQL fundamentals, hands-on experience with dbt (or similar transformation tools), and comfort with version control, testing, and deployment practices. You're highly agentic—driving standards, supporting best practices, and shaping architectural decisions without constant direction. You care deeply about code quality and data integrity, building transformations that are reliable, performant, and well-documented. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, partner effectively across teams, and uplevel those around you. The tech stack includes dbt, SQL, Python, BigQuery, Airbyte, Fivetran, Merge, Datadog, and Git-based CI/CD. This is a remote-first role open to candidates across the Americas (US, Canada, LATAM) to align with team working hours.
