Salary: USD 166,400 - 249,000 / annual
Scale AI is hiring an Engagement Manager to lead delivery of agentic AI workflows for a national security customer in Colorado Springs. This role sits on the public sector delivery team and combines program leadership, customer relationship management, technical fluency, and contract awareness.
You will manage customer relationships across all levels—from executives to end users—and own or support a large account plan. Working alongside customers, you'll scope agentic workflow use cases that Scale's engineering team builds, which you'll then refine and optimize. You'll lead a cross-functional project team to deliver and exceed the customer's AI/ML objectives, with a "whatever-it-takes" mentality to identify customer needs and operator pain points.
Key responsibilities include overseeing customer onboarding, successful implementation, and day-to-day execution to ensure an exceptional customer experience in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
Must-haves: Active TS/SCI security clearance; 5+ years in stakeholder management or customer-facing roles delivering enterprise-scale applications; structured, analytics-driven problem-solving track record; excellent communication skills; willingness to be onsite 4 days/week in Colorado Springs and travel 25%+ as needed.
Ideal candidates often have 10+ years of professional experience, prior roles in customer-facing technical program management (industry or government), API technology company experience, technical degrees (CS/engineering), proficiency in Python/SQL, and domain expertise in modeling/simulation, joint planning, or intelligence workflows.
