Scale's public sector division is seeking an Engagement Manager to own customer relationships across a portfolio of U.S. government clients responsible for homeland layered defense. This role bridges technical delivery and customer success, requiring deep engagement with government stakeholders from senior leaders to operational analysts. Key responsibilities include: - Owning end-to-end customer relationships across multiple organizational levels within government agencies - Building structured user-engagement programs targeting day-to-day operators and analysts - Translating operational workflows and mission problems into well-defined AI and agentic workflow use cases - Leading cross-functional teams (engineering, product, operations, security) to deliver customer objectives - Planning and executing customer engagement weeks, user testing events, demonstrations, and onsite briefings - Driving adoption of Scale's AI capabilities in operational environments and incorporating feedback into product priorities Required qualifications: - Active TS/SCI security clearance - 5+ years in technical program management, software engineering, systems engineering, product management, or related technical delivery roles - Demonstrated ability to build trust with both senior executives and operational users - Experience translating complex customer workflows into structured technical requirements - Strong technical fluency in AI, software systems, data, and agentic workflows - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to brief senior government leaders - Comfort working in secure facilities and air-gapped government systems - Willingness to travel 25–50% for customer engagements and testing events Preferred background includes prior military or civilian experience in Combatant Commands, Air Operations Centers, Joint Intelligence Operations Centers, or Intelligence Community agencies; experience deploying software to live operational centers; familiarity with joint planning, intelligence, targeting, integrated air and missile defense, or related mission areas; and experience supporting formal government test and evaluation events.
