Scale is seeking an Engagement Manager to join its rapidly expanding Global Public Sector team, responsible for generating, executing, and fostering Scale's work outside the United States. The team focuses on three core areas: building custom AI applications for government, providing high-quality training data for research institutions developing LLMs, and partnerships, upskilling, and advisory work.
In this role, you will establish deep customer and prospect relationships, proactively identifying opportunities where Scale can build custom AI applications to improve outcomes for citizens and residents. You'll oversee execution to ensure timelines are met and communicated effectively, interface with premier research institutions (particularly those building Arabic LLMs), and partner with organizations focused on AI training and education.
Key responsibilities include driving the process of identifying high-value use cases for custom LLMs within government entities, partnering with clients to understand their most pressing problems, managing long-term client health by identifying and preempting risks, serving as the main point-of-contact for client questions and concerns, collaborating with operational and engineering teams to track delivery and timelines, and continuously improving operational performance.
You will work closely with business development, go-to-market, product, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate has a strong nose for value and opportunity, is highly personable and can build relationships across stakeholder types, communicates excellently, is highly organized, and has a demonstrated track record of high achievement. You should be naturally empathetic and excel at building long-term relationships through diligent problem-solving and strategic discussions.
Required qualifications include 5-7+ years of work experience with consulting or technical program management background, written and spoken fluency in both English and Arabic, experience at a consulting firm or leading tech company, proven track record in B2B/B2G client-facing roles with ability to expand relationships, understanding of APIs and ML training lifecycle, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, excellent communication abilities, structured analytics-driven problem-solving capability, and demonstrated diligence and organization across multiple work streams.
