As an Endpoint Engineer focused on macOS, you will own the design and development of core data exfiltration prevention features on Nightfall's platform. This role requires deep expertise in macOS internals, file and device interfaces, and system-level programming.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing data exfiltration prevention apps, system extensions, and services on macOS
- Maintaining and evolving mission-critical agents deployed on endpoints
- Owning complex features end-to-end from design through delivery
- Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Objective-C or Swift on macOS
- Practical development experience with macOS Endpoint Security System Extensions
- Proven track record leading or significantly contributing to major projects
- Strong OS-level research and debugging capabilities
- Experience with kernel-level debugging tools and reverse engineering techniques
- Ability to write well-tested, concise code with meticulous attention to detail
- Problem-solving mindset and comfort with dynamic, challenging environments
Desirable skills include knowledge of IOKit and the macOS VFS model. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep technical expertise in endpoint security and operating system internals.
