Wordsmith is building a legal operating system for in-house legal teams. The company helps legal departments manage work requests, leverage AI agents for routine tasks, and maintain control over judgement-critical decisions—all in one unified platform. Wordsmith serves over 500 companies including Financial Times, Canva, and Sage, and is backed by over $100M from Index Ventures, General Catalyst, and Highland Europe. You will own customer enablement end-to-end, designing and executing how customers learn Wordsmith and become confident, self-sufficient users. This is a pure enablement role—you won't own implementation, technical support, renewals, or sales. Key responsibilities: - Design and continuously improve the onboarding journey that takes newly implemented customers to capability and independence - Build curriculum teaching legal teams how AI agents work, where human judgment remains critical, and how to work effectively alongside the technology - Lead live training sessions (onboarding, product walkthroughs, feature deep dives) for lawyers, business users, and admins at all technical levels - Create self-paced online certifications and learning paths so customers can train new joiners and refresh skills independently - Maintain the enablement library (guides, product overviews) as Wordsmith ships new features, retiring outdated content - Diagnose adoption stalls and run focused re-enablement programs to restore self-sufficiency - Train customer champions and admins to teach their own colleagues, multiplying capability within each account - Partner with Product to build in-app guidance, walkthroughs, and prompts - Define what a trained, self-sufficient customer looks like; track adoption metrics and use evidence to refine teaching - Collaborate with Transformation, Customer Success, Support Engineering, and Product teams to ensure enablement reflects real implementations and product changes Wordsmith operates as an in-person team in Edinburgh. You'll work closely with the VP of Transformation and cross-functional customer teams. The company moves quickly, sets a high bar, and gives people real ownership. Because Legal AI is new to most buyers, teaching it well is a high-leverage function. Requirements: - 3–5 years in customer enablement, training, onboarding, customer education, implementation, or similar customer-facing roles where teaching was central - Ability to design learning (not just deliver it): turn complex products into clear curricula with defined sequences and outcomes - Confidence presenting in person and on video to senior lawyers and day-to-day users alike - Experience building self-paced content (courses, certifications, guides, video) and understanding what drives completion - Clear, warm communication style that makes unfamiliar ideas accessible without oversimplifying - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple programs, sessions, and content deadlines simultaneously - Comfort reading product-usage data, identifying where learning hasn't landed, and acting on insights - Curiosity about AI and legal technology (legal background not required, but willingness to learn deeply) - Strong learning mindset: welcome feedback, apply coaching, and want to grow quickly
