Rubrik is seeking an Employee Relations Partner to lead workplace investigations and resolve employee relations matters across the organization's three divisions: R&D, GTM, and G&A. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role within the People Team that serves as a trusted advisor to Business Partners, Legal, People leaders, and managers.
The role has two primary dimensions. First, you will own end-to-end workplace investigations, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations. This encompasses scoping, planning, neutral fact-finding interviews, credibility assessments, findings, and recommendations. You will collaborate with Internal Legal to develop investigation plans, act as liaison to external counsel, produce clear and accurate investigation reports, facilitate interactive processes for reasonable medical accommodations, and contribute ER input to performance and separation matters. You will also use AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate investigation work—drafting investigation plans, summarizing evidence, and structuring reports, with human verification of accuracy and conclusions.
Second, you serve as "HR for HR": the confidential, impartial ER point of contact for matters involving People Team members, managing conflicts of interest and escalating to Legal or external parties where appropriate. You will act as a subject matter expert on employee relations best practices, partner with Legal on consistent policy interpretation, identify emerging ER risks and organizational trends, and contribute to frontline manager development through training and guidance.
You will also drive consistency and continuous improvement by maintaining case-tracking systems, using AI-assisted analysis to surface ER trends and patterns, helping build AI-enabled playbooks and templates, and partnering with Legal and Centers of Excellence on policy development informed by case outcomes.
Reporting to the Senior Director HRBP with a dotted line into Internal Employment Counsel, this is a US-focused role with opportunities to be involved in international ER cases.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree and 5–7+ years of direct experience conducting workplace investigations, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently and to a high standard, from intake through final report
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and statutes governing employment policies and practices
- Strong understanding and application of workplace investigation best practices and standards, including neutral fact-finding interviews, credibility assessments, and maintaining confidentiality
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling highly sensitive and confidential matters, including those involving colleagues within the People Team
- Experience supporting multiple business functions (e.g., engineering, sales, corporate functions) and building credibility with leaders at all levels
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple matters in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Ability to communicate objectively with employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues; outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business acumen and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
PREFERRED:
- Experience with international ER matters and working alongside external and internal counsel
- Experience using case-management or intake and triage tooling, and reporting on ER trends and metrics
- Experience in a technology or high-growth environment
