CLEAR is building a secure identity platform transforming how people live, work, and travel. The Employee Relations Lead serves as the centralized ER partner for the Airport Operations team, ensuring consistent handling of employee relations issues across all stations. In this role, you will own employee and labor relations across your stations, running investigations into root causes and landing on fair, defensible, and consistent outcomes in close collaboration with Legal. You'll lead timely, thorough, and objective workplace investigations involving employee complaints, misconduct, policy violations, and other ER matters. You'll coach and advise operational leaders on corrective action, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and consistent employment practices to address issues early and appropriately. You'll manage and ensure consistency in workers' compensation, leave of absence (LOA), and accommodation cases, including reviewing claims and requests with Leave Administrators and Legal, ensuring decisions align with company policy and applicable laws (FMLA, ADA, state and local leave laws). You'll support unemployment claims by reviewing separation circumstances, preparing accurate and timely responses, and ensuring documentation supports company decisions. You'll identify employee relations trends across case, claims, leave, and accommodation data, then partner with People leadership to develop proactive solutions that improve accountability, reduce risk, and strengthen the employee experience. You'll partner across People, Legal, and Operations on process improvements and larger initiatives, ensuring ER, leave, accommodation, and claims practices are applied consistently at every station. You'll maintain accurate, confidential case documentation and ensure all ER decisions comply with company policies and applicable employment laws. Success is measured by fewer repeat ER issues and faster, smarter resolution when they do occur; leaders and managers putting training and programs you build to real use; and people processes running consistently at every station. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of HR and Employee Relations experience, including real-time support for hourly or frontline teams and handling complex employee relations matters - Ability to earn trust with operational leaders quickly and coach them through difficult decisions with good judgment and empathy - Strong data literacy and ability to translate data and stakeholder feedback into actionable insights - Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-moving, dynamic environment - Clear communication skills across all organizational levels, from one-on-one coaching to large group settings
