CesiumAstro develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer II to join our software team.
You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from product concept through production, including architecture design, implementation, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support. This role involves hands-on embedded Linux development with a strong focus on the Yocto build system. You will work with device drivers, kernel customization, bootloaders, and board bring-up activities, with preference for Xilinx platform experience (though other platforms are valued).
You will collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineers in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. This position offers opportunities for technical leadership and cross-disciplinary collaboration across the organization. The role is ideal for engineers seeking hands-on, interactive, and autonomous work with exposure to space technology and satellite communications.
