You'll collaborate with avionics hardware engineers, guidance/navigation/control (GNC) engineers, propulsion engineers, and cross-functional teams to build performant and maintainable embedded solutions. Key responsibilities include: - Implement and improve low-level processor functions such as peripheral controls and communication interface setup - Develop closed-loop control algorithms for physical processes and detection/response systems for failures (e.g., sensor faults, radiation upsets) - Provide technical input on new system architectures from an embedded software perspective - Write prototype code to support development and testing of avionics and propulsion devices - Write production-grade, reviewed, and thoroughly tested code for manufacturing and flight operations You'll have the opportunity to contribute across the full spectrum of spacecraft development—from architecting new systems and rapid prototyping to rigorous flight projects and real-time control of flight hardware during ground tests. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software development experience - 1+ years of experience writing C/C++ code for embedded systems or vehicles (robots, cars, drones, or spacecraft) This role offers hands-on involvement in aerospace engineering at a company focused on spacecraft development, with exposure to real flight hardware and mission-critical systems.
