Anduril Industries is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in Anti-Tamper systems to join their defense technology team. This role focuses on developing secure embedded and firmware solutions for next-generation autonomous systems across air, land, maritime, and space domains.
You will develop software and firmware for security-sensitive embedded platforms, implementing boot and run-time anti-tamper functionality. Key responsibilities include applying cryptographic mechanisms for authentication, encryption, integrity verification, and key handling. You'll support board bring-up, hardware-software integration, and low-level debugging across boot sequences, initialization, peripheral interfaces, and device communication.
Collaboration is central to this role—you'll work closely with Hardware, FPGA, Systems, and Security engineers to integrate trusted platform features across SoCs, FPGA-based devices, and related components. You'll design, document, implement, and validate security-critical features that protect Anduril's mission-critical systems.
Required qualifications include hands-on experience with safety and security-critical embedded software/firmware engineering, practical understanding and application of cryptography, and experience with embedded platforms including SoCs, FPGAs, and hardware security components. Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust is essential. A current U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance is required.
Preferred experience includes Real-Time Operating Systems, Nix/NixOS, industry-standard embedded toolchains, Linux development environments, embedded security and anti-tamper architecture, chain of trust systems, key lifecycle management, isolation architectures, and background in defense, aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, or mission-critical embedded environments.
