Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) team is seeking an Embedded NixOS Engineer to build core infrastructure for developing, building, and deploying cutting-edge software.
In this role, you will own the EW team's software supply chain, build tools for targeting downstream software environments, perform NixOS bringup on state-of-the-art hardware designs, and play a key role in the successful deployment of EW technology. You'll collaborate with industry leaders in mechanical, electrical, RF, FPGA, and functional programming software design to deliver next-generation EW capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with electrical and FPGA engineers to bring up NixOS on custom hardware platforms
- Implementing build and deployment infrastructure for the EW team's software pipeline
- Shaping build, deployment, and CI/CD roadmaps to streamline capability delivery to customers
Required qualifications:
- Experience debugging custom hardware
- Experience with enterprise build and deployment systems
- Experience with image building infrastructure for embedded Linux systems
Preferred qualifications include professional or open-source experience with Nix/NixOS/Nixpkgs, typed functional programming languages (Haskell, Scala, F#, OCaml, Rust), AArch64 embedded Linux product design, custom hardware drivers, Linux kernel module development, FPGA development, and MATLAB C code generation.
