Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems, AI, and computer vision. The Firmware Team develops core embedded software powering multiple defense platforms including Barracuda, Dive-LD, Altius, and Roadrunner—systems that ship in months, not years.
In this role, you will develop low-level embedded firmware in C for microcontrollers across multiple product platforms. You'll write and execute comprehensive test procedures that verify firmware behavior against requirements, ensuring every requirement has a corresponding test. You'll debug and troubleshoot issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries, and support board bring-up and hardware-firmware integration alongside cross-functional electrical and software engineering teams.
You'll contribute to multiple projects at various stages from prototype through production, working alongside senior engineers to update requirements and grow your embedded systems expertise on real defense platforms.
Required: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience. 2+ years of firmware/embedded software development. Solid C coding for embedded systems. Experience with common bus protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, or similar). Familiarity with board bring-up, debugging tools, and coding best practices. Exposure to writing or executing test procedures for embedded firmware. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
Preferred: Experience with microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430, PIC, etc.) and embedded development tools.
