Salary: USD 105,000 - 165,000 / annual

Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits, serving large enterprises, sovereign governments, and the US military. With five satellites on orbit and a backlog exceeding $1 billion in commercial contracts, the company is expanding rapidly from its 153,000 sq. ft. Northern California headquarters. As an Electronics Test Engineer, you will develop, design, and implement comprehensive test systems and automated solutions for all custom electronics on Astranis spacecraft. Your work will validate power designs and other critical systems across diverse operational environments to ensure mission success on orbit. Key responsibilities include: - Develop and design automated hardware and software solutions to test and validate electronics hardware - Design PCBAs to interface with flight hardware - Write Python software to control bench equipment, devices under test, and other test hardware - Work closely with the design team to provide feedback and insight throughout qualification and acceptance processes - Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional team members as the organization grows You should have an Associate's or B.S. degree in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent technical background), hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, eloads), experience debugging circuits with embedded software, and proficiency in Python. Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to translate high-level requirements into clear design and test objectives are essential. Bonus qualifications include experience with environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal, burn-in, TVAC), power electronics (switching converters, load switches), Altium Designer, electrical harness and connector design, and test automation.
