ICEYE is seeking an Electronics R&D Test Lead to lead the electrical AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) team for its next-generation optical spacecraft. You will own the end-to-end electrical AIT process, combining hands-on technical expertise with people leadership.
In this role, you will lead a team responsible for subsystem qualification and functional testing, spacecraft-level system testing, and debugging of electronics and software issues. You'll design and build the Electronics Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) that supports testing and integration activities. Your responsibilities include running qualification campaigns, performing root cause analysis on failures, reworking PCBAs, and supporting next-generation spacecraft integration by ensuring AIT procedures are properly created and handed over to production teams.
You will represent the testing and integration findings back to design engineering groups throughout the development lifecycle—from early concept through late prototyping—and drive resulting design changes. This role requires balancing hands-on technical work with growing into people leadership, organizing team workflows, and managing intense test campaign periods.
Required qualifications include either prior people leadership experience or a senior technical background with genuine interest in moving into management. You need hands-on experience developing, integrating, testing, or producing complex electronics systems; strong debugging skills across electronics and software; AIT experience spanning both domains; working knowledge of Python; and comfort working under pressure with tight timelines.
Nice-to-have skills include environmental testing experience (thermal, vibration), design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) in high-reliability environments, experience scaling test systems for production, and harness design knowledge.
