Rune Technologies builds mission-critical software and hardware for military logistics and sustainment. The flagship product, TyrOS, is an AI-enabled logistics command and control platform that provides commanders real-time visibility into sustainment operations, from inventory and distribution to medical and operational planning, even in degraded and contested environments.
The company combines deep operational experience with the DoD with software discipline from leading product companies, staying close to users by embedding with military units during exercises and rotations.
As an Electromechanical Engineer, you will own hardware design and development from concept through production. You will design rugged physical systems including enclosures, mounts, assemblies, packaging, wiring, and mechanical integration. Your responsibilities include integrating sensors, electronics, power systems, connectors, antennas, and other components into systems built for demanding operational environments.
You will apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to transition hardware from prototype to repeatable production. This includes making decisions around tolerances, materials, manufacturing processes, assembly, inspection, servicing, cost, and quality. You will create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, tolerances, bills of materials, wiring documentation, assembly documentation, and manufacturing documentation.
You will work directly with suppliers, fabrication shops, and contract manufacturers to select appropriate manufacturing processes, resolve integration issues, and transition designs into production. You will personally prototype, fabricate, integrate, troubleshoot, qualify, install, and evaluate hardware in lab and field environments, diagnosing failures across mechanical and electrical boundaries.
You will translate system and engineering requirements into physical design decisions, incorporating applicable military, commercial, safety, environmental, electrical, and mechanical standards, and developing appropriate verification and qualification approaches.
