Salary: USD 111,000 - 147,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Battlespace Awareness Radar team develops state-of-the-art radar systems to address critical security challenges. As an Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will own the mechanical and thermal aspects of hardware design from initial requirements through full production transition.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement mechanical solutions for complex radar systems, managing the full lifecycle from ideation to production
- Integrate thermal solutions, RF hardware, PCBAs, and cabling into cohesive mechanical designs
- Rapidly prototype to identify issues early and compress development timelines
- Support customer-facing hardware demonstrations and translate customer requirements into technical specifications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (electrical, software, manufacturing engineers) to optimize radar performance
- Travel to test sites as needed to validate designs and support field operations
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional mechanical design experience
- BSME, MS, or PhD in a related engineering field
- Proficiency in CAD (any platform) with ability to produce high-quality engineering drawings to industry standards
- Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills and ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues
- Strong command of engineering first principles
- Experience integrating PCBAs and electronics into mechanical systems
- Immersive technical project experience (collegiate or professional)
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred qualifications include NX/Teamcenter experience, thermal management design expertise, EMI constraint design, familiarity with multiple manufacturing methods (CNC, sheet metal, injection molding, 3D printing), and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams.
