Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Intelligence Systems team focuses on delivering specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community customers, addressing critical national security requirements.
As an Electrical Test Engineer in the Manufacturing organization, you will design and build complex systems and PCBA platforms to test Anduril's products. You'll work on data acquisition and physical layer interfaces using FPGA, MCU, and off-the-shelf equipment to ensure products meet stringent quality standards. Working in a multi-disciplinary design team, you'll manage requirements, capture custom circuits, and design complex assemblies and harnesses. You'll collaborate with firmware engineers on board support packages for embedded Linux and MCU RTOS platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design circuits and schematics for test automation platforms
- Integrate designs into Anduril's PDM systems following product design release processes
- Design and source PCB assemblies ranging from FPGA-based data acquisition boards to MCU platform interfaces, breakout boards, and wiring harnesses
- Architect and source circuit board test fixtures, integrating custom designs with internal and off-the-shelf data acquisition equipment
- Build internal libraries for test circuits, leveraging expertise in DFM/DFT
- Bring up, debug, and characterize circuits including low-speed interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN) and high-speed signals (RF, memory, USB)
You'll think creatively to solve difficult testing problems and continuously improve automation methods, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on product designs that have gone to manufacturing
- Experience with professional electronics design packages (Altium, Cadence, PADs, or equivalent) for schematic capture and layout
- Expertise in PCBA design with ability to design and fabricate your own designs or guide contract manufacturing resources
- Familiarity with electronics test equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition and measurement sensors)
- Familiar with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems and releasing designs for production
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Python scripting for configuration and automation of setup tasks
- Familiarity with FPGA PCBA platforms including RTL, design synthesis, and bare-metal coding
- Master's of Science in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
