Salary: USD 146,000 - 253,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to join its Costa Mesa, CA team. This role bridges mechanical, electrical, and software designs to ensure cohesive system functionality in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and document electrical system-level requirements, decomposition, and traceability across multiple product lines throughout the development lifecycle
- Architect, test, and integrate modules and subsystems into full vehicle systems, including hardware selection
- Conduct root cause analysis supporting vehicle integration and field operations
- Execute integration and developmental testing of complex electrical subsystems and their interactions
- Participate in design reviews to identify issues and drive design choices
- Create test systems supporting all phases of product development
- Collaborate with cross-functional hardware and software teams to establish interfaces
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system design documentation including functional block diagrams, sequence diagrams, state diagrams, interface control documents, and wiring diagrams
- Develop communication architectures for CAN, Ethernet, and serial-based electrical devices
- Plan and document power and signal interconnections through block diagrams and harness schematic drawings
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Aerospace Engineering or similar; 5+ years designing and testing integrated hardware & software systems; experience planning, writing, and executing test procedures; familiarity with electromechanical components (motors, solenoids, thermocouples, RTDs); experience with signal and power integrity design; knowledge of electrical bus interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, MIL-STD-1553); ability to lead multidisciplinary trade studies; proficiency with electrical test equipment; ability to read schematics and use CAD software; excellent communication skills; eligibility for U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: Understanding of DO-160 and/or MIL-STD 461/704 avionics standards for UAS; familiarity with aircraft avionics and UAS program component suppliers.
