Salary: USD 100,000 - 125,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies is seeking an Electrical Integration and Test Engineer to join their spacecraft development team in Pittsburgh. You will be responsible for planning and executing integration and test activities across board-level to system-level campaigns, ensuring spacecraft readiness prior to launch.
Key responsibilities include conducting integration and testing of flight and non-flight electrical systems at component, subsystem, and spacecraft levels. You will write comprehensive test plans and procedures to verify functionality of critical spacecraft systems including guidance/navigation/control (GNC), RF communications, power distribution, and thermal/propulsion control. The role involves automating test execution and data collection using Python, LabVIEW, and related tools, and leading electrical test campaigns through readiness reviews, anomaly response, and post-test analysis.
You will design electrical test fixtures and ground support equipment for both component and system-level testing, coordinate with external test facilities for off-site testing campaigns, and collaborate with payload teams to define interface requirements. Close collaboration with Systems Engineers, Design Engineers, and Program Management ensures I&T activities deliver a flight-certified spacecraft. Safety of equipment and personnel during integration is a core responsibility.
Required qualifications include 3+ years of relevant integration and test experience, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, background in testing complex electrical systems, and experience writing test documentation. Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages, operational knowledge of standard electrical test equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems), and ability to work in cross-functional teams are essential.
Desired qualifications include experience with safety-critical systems testing, familiarity with Altium or similar design software, environmental testing campaigns (thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC, vibration), spacecraft/satellite project experience, knowledge of avionics manufacturing processes, cleanroom experience, and relevant IPC certifications.
