Salary: USD 144,000 - 198,000 / annual

Archer Technologies is an aerospace company building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft designed to carry four passengers with minimal noise. As an Electrical Engineer specializing in Wiring Design, you will be responsible for the complete design and integration of aircraft wiring harnesses. Your primary responsibilities include: • Design wire harness routing and installation using 3D CAD software (Siemens NX), following industry standards including AC 43.13-1B, AS50881, and ASTM F2639 • Select industry-standard components appropriate for specific design applications and requirements • Position aircraft components, equipment, and support structures to optimize wire routing while balancing safety, weight, and installation accessibility • Develop comprehensive installation instructions and guidance for harness assembly and aircraft integration • Create and apply inspection criteria for manufactured and installed components in accordance with best practices • Manage configuration and change control throughout the aircraft lifecycle • Develop creative solutions for wire routing in constrained spaces and around moving components, including custom part design when necessary Required qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in aircraft wiring engineering and design • Proficiency with 3D CAD software and electrical routing modules (Siemens NX with Electrical Routing Package preferred; Catia V5 Electrical Workbench acceptable) • Experience with wiring CAD software such as Mentor Graphics Capital, HarnessXC, and Logic • Practical experience in harness fabrication, installation, and inspection processes Bonus qualifications include EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) knowledge, FAA AC 25.1701 certification experience, Siemens NX Formboard expertise, 3D printing or injection molding experience, and knowledge of lightning, HIRF, and grounding best practices for composite aircraft. This is an in-office role based in San Jose, California. Archer is unable to provide work visa sponsorship at this time.
